Hoping to expand my portfolio with more personal projects, I created a design that reflects my interest in sustainable packaging, fun multipurpose products, and something I do every day—drink lots of coffee!

BeanBud was inspired by compostable seed packaging, where the seeds themselves are layered within the paper instruction packet.

In this mockup, a coffee cup includes a seed-embedded paper exterior, with tear-off “stamps” printed on the surface, that when planted grow a variety of local botanicals. The stamp design creates both a fun visual display and easily conveys the tear-apart concept. I intended for this product to be multifunctional—useful for cafes, beneficial for the local environment, and a fun activity for consumers to participate in.
